Almost 3 months ago was the last time the remaining One Story teams (the Guinee girls, Timbuktu girls, and Kacy and I) were all together.
This week we all came into the capital for a church planting training joined by other colleagues and our supervisors.
This is about the 4th CPM training Kacy and I have attended. The first was for our training, the rest was to help out with training. But no matter what - we always leave learning more, and having a better knowledge of what a church should look like, and a better idea of how we want to implement the lessons from the training into our people group.
Another thing about this training is it really builds our team unity. By this point the new teams have experienced being out on their own in the bush, and can then relate better with those of us who've been out a little longer. We all now have shared or similar experiences that I can say for sure there will be no others who can understand me better than these teams.
It is one of the most intense trainings of God's word we have. We have some of the most intense worship and prayer times, learning to pray with one mind, one purpose and group times learning about each other and our people groups. And it is during this training that our teams really bond and make us what we are... a OneStory family.
(Don't forget to check out the Pictures page - there's new pictures from our camping trip)
