Catch a falling star...

Naturally every New Year people make resolutions and goals they want to accomplish for the year.

As life happens things don't always go like we plan. Here well Africa happens - some bizarre thing to cause you to divert your plans - almost regularly. Which makes it difficult to stick to a laid out plan, and one can end up very discouraged.

I'm learning that the best resolution I can make is to pray I'm able to focus on this verse " 'For I know that plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.' " -Jeremiah 29.11

Right there, God already has a plan for me. I don't need to make my own. His are always good, and wont lead to disaster. His plan is reliable. As good as my plans may seem (to me) we only have a narrow perspective, whereas God sees the whole picture. Which makes His plans far better, and far greater than anything I could ever imagine. And look it leads to a future and a hope. Yes God's plan can be trusted. We can hope in it. We can hope in HIM.

And the following verses say. " 'In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you find me.' " Jeremiah 29.12-13

Just learn to seek HIM wholeheartedly. As much as we learn about God, and seek Him, there's always more we have yet to learn, more to discover. And if I can just remember that, well then it's going to be an exciting year.

And I pray they same for you. I hope this year will be exciting, filled with new discoveries, new lessons, and much hope!

Blessings and Happy New Year!
