It wasn’t a planned trip. We were crossing the road almost to the office, basically our truck was pretty much across the road when an Imam on his motorbike came speeding towards us. We did not hit him, he finally decided to turn to avoid us but in doing so he almost hit a pedestrian walking in front of him, so he swerved again and fell and slid a little towards our truck. His front lights were busted and his hand was a bit scraped but he was making a bigger deal out of it telling us we need to take him to the hospital. People from our office came out to settle it, and we offered to clean up his wounds and put medicine on it, and we had witnesses saying it wasn’t our fault, but he was not cooperating so we decided to call the police to settle it. They came, made some measurements so they can draw the scene, talked to some people, and then they put the guy’s bike on the back of their truck, and one of the police came and road in our truck, and we headed down to the station. Judy went with us, PRAISE GOD, so she can translate for us. We were there for a little while, but basically the guy dropped the whole thing coz I guess he figured he wasn’t getting anything out of us. He said God knows who is right, and we agreed. And he said he was just gonna talk about us at the mosque.
We were nice, even apologized several times, but the guy was just bent out of shape from the beginning. But he ended up leaving, I think he had one of his kids pick him up and take him to the hospital. We waited a while for the police to write up a report and then we were off. And that was our morning.
By the time we got back to the office and do what we came to do it was pass lunch time so we ended up eating out instead of trying to catch up at the Abbey. We figured we deserved a nice treat after all that so we ordered a nice piece of chocolate cake. It was good…
The training has been going well... but we're ready to head back out to the village...

Hi Reaiah and Kacy,
I am Diane from Springhill Baptist Church in Farmington Hills. It is New Year's Eve, and I pray that you have a blessed New Year's--2007. We (the members of Springhill) will celebrate the end of 2006, and the beginning of 2007 in Church this evening--praising God.
We regularly pray for you and report on your progress. Praise God for the believers in your village, and Big Bro.
We sent a package to you on June 1, 2006, and we are praying that it will arrive soon for your pleasure and God's glory. The package is not lost. God knows its exact location. He knows all. So we are asking God to guide it to you safely so that you may enjoy its contents.
Thank you so much for your regular updates, which help us to focus our prayers. We look forward to your next one. Seven more hours before 2007.
God Bless!
Diane
